Based Cooking (based.cooking) is the name of the open-source online cookbook and cooking website where users can submit recipes. The project was made by Luke Smith and lives on GitHub with the aim of having «based» recipes; «i.e. good traditional and substantial food. Nothing ironic, meme-tier hyper-sugary, meat-substitute, etc.» (to quote the README).
The project is seemly dead - or at least paused for Smith - with no update seen since early 2023 - thanks to this, and that it is under The Unlicense, a number of forks have been made to carry on the work with much of the same aims.
Based Cooking itself (and forks) was mirrored on the MDKwiki.
