# MDK: Basics

So, ya wanna edit even make your own page? Nice! Just like other wikis, MDK has a style guide that should be followed for the sake of consistency.

• EN-US is to be used; that is to say, use American English over British English (EN-GB), Canadian English (EN-CA), and so on.
• Please use the metric system, not imperial mesurments.
• When making edits, do not directly change the .htm files, rather the .md. If you make edits to the HTML files, then the next time a change is made, your edits will be overwritten.
• When you make an edit or a change to the wiki, please feel free to credit yourself in the «Credits and Notes» section.
• The MDKwiki is text-only, so there is no embedding of images, videos, audio, and so on. You are welcome to link to said media, but don't rely on it too hard.
