on Wikidata) is an online 3D cartoon made by
Gooseworx and Glitch Productions, running from 2023 until 2026, gaining
a large following.
The series can probably be best described as a mix between the classic I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream short nightmare of a book and that of childhood video games and follows the premise of a number of humans who find themselves trapped inside a virtual playground that is The Amazing Digital Circus, which is meant to be a family-friendly hub area where players can enter into other worlds, ones like the Candy Kingdom, a haunted house... a fast food joint. The ringleader, Caine, is a stand-in for A.M. from I Have No Mouth, but unlike A.M., Caine thinks he knows best for the players but is unaware of the torment and pain he is causing.
For what is an independent series, it has become quite the staple of online animation. Over time, this has become a bit of a double-edged sword, yes, the fandom side can be really spectacular, and yes, there are some wonderful fan songs, countless fan drawings that look really impressive, but alas, content farms on places like mainly YouTube have and will post quickly made slop that is quality over quantity to fill the gap between what can feel like a really long time between episodes (something that you might not personally mind as Glitch Productions is mainly funded via YouTube ads and merchandise sales, depending on who you are).
But still, the storytelling is deeply captivating with its use of strong characters that all stand out in both personality and visual design; this gives the series a strong sense of identity that helps it stand out.
Just know this: The Amazing Digital Circus, despite being a cartoon, is not for children, more so for young adults thanks to its themes of loss, mental health, body issues, and Jax (more on him later).
Truly, The Amazing Digital Circus can put multimillion-dollar companies like Disney to shame when it never really has a moment to have a dull or bad moment on screen. Sincerely, this series stands out as a diamond in all departments.
It's challenging to nail down a moment in this series that one could honestly think is bad. Yes, the first couple of episodes the character models look a bit rough around the edges, but here's the thing: it's the storytelling that matters here, and besides, you know what other shows were rough to start off with? Many damn programs in their early day, both live action and in cartoon. Christ alive, this is a free show that you can watch right now on YouTube; this is a godsend. *Starts to bow at the feet of Goseworx*

| Gangle | Marissa Lenti | Is a girl twink, somehow. She's literally just a long ass-ribbon and a comedy/tragedy mask. She's an anime nerd that has a deep friendship with Zooble, with whom she probably also wants to have Zooble put a cigarette out on her. Furthermore, she's unique in the cast in that her face is the comedy and tragedy mask. On the bottom is the tragedy; on top is the comedy. Sadly for her, the top mask is easy to break, making it so she's forced to be in a depressive state. |
| Zooble | Ashley Nichols | Is a cool concept for a character that's actually pulled off quite well, you see; unlike the rest of the cast, Zooble's actual character design changes from episode to episode as they are seemingly unhappy with how they look. YOu could like that this show has a cheeky dysphoria (and by extension, gender dysphoria) reference in a character. |
| Kinger | Sean Chiplock | It's difficult to form that much of a strong opinion on Kinger as he's someone that we don't know all that much about. He knows a lot about coding, and his love of bugs and butterflies comes from Queenie, one of the first set of people to enter the circus. |
| Ragatha | Amanda Hufford | It's fair to say that Ragatha's role in the circus is that of a mother figure who, yes, tries her best, but doesn't always make end up helping the way she thought she would. I do like how, even if she doesn't feel it deep down, she does try her best to put on a smile for the others in the circus. |
