# Gingerbread

# Ingredients

• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup molasses
• 2 1/2 cups flour
• 3/4 cups lard and butter
• 2 eggs
• 1 dessert spoon soda dissolved in cup cold water
• 1 teaspoon ginger
• 1 teaspoon cloves
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon

# Directions

Bake in slow oven and leave in pan until cold.
